## Discrepancy classes

### Class A — YAML `bab` out of sync with patch (8 surahs)

The patch script `patch_qamar_canonical.py` was applied to `tanazur.yaml` only, not propagated to per-surah YAMLs:

- `al-qamar-mithaq-al-nafas` — YAML 5, patch 4
- `al-qamar-ayah-takhruq` — YAML 10, patch 9
- `al-qamar-ma-yasqut` — YAML 6, patch 5
- `al-qamar-al-naimin` — YAML 4, patch 3 (strand b)
- `al-qamar-al-ahlam` — YAML 7, patch 6
- `al-qamar-jismuk-salla` (and duplicate) — YAML 8, patch 7
- `al-qamar-malak-yajlis` — YAML 9, patch 8 (strand a)

### Class B — YAML `bab: null` & `book: null` despite patch (4 surahs)

These were "orphans" before the patch and should have been adopted into Qamar:

- `al-qamar-jannat-al-awda` — patch says (8, b), with `ensure_book: True`

- `al-qamar-al-naimin` — Arabic title says "Bāb al-Thālith" (Third) but YAML `bab: 4`, patch `bab: 3 strand b`

## What this apparatus shows

Reading the table in one pass: **Darja's verdict has been applied to `tanazur.yaml` (the live archive consumed by the kitab-site build) but never propagated to the per-surah YAML files**. The mushaf is in a partially-applied state with at least 8 surahs out of sync.

The four "horn-pair partner" surahs Darja introduced (First Door, Breath as Threshold, Garden of Return, and the displacement of Nearness to bāb 10) all have YAML `bab: null` and `book: null` — they're still officially "Other Surahs" in the per-surah YAMLs. The patch tags them `ensure_book: True` for migration but the YAMLs were never updated.

The Ikhlās displacement (LORA 10 → Darja 9) is **the single most consequential textual decision** and the only instance where Darja's verdict overrides Iman's explicit seal (transcript line 1419).
